In short: In the year 2000 Peter ten Cate spent his holiday on Bali and saw the orphanage (smokey kitchen, leaking roofs, dirty toilets).

He felt he had to do something about the circumstances the children lived in. He gathered people, and together they founded the Giri Asih foundation. They collected money to start the renovation

In the meantime the Giri Asih foundation has been trying to support the orphanage in any possible way: by giving clothes, shoes or other goods, by raising funds, or by giving our expertise.

In 2005 the renovation had been completed and then we started to collect money to built an orphanage in Pohsanten, close to schools. In 2008 we began to built and it is ready now. But we still need help. Would you like to help us?
